WAKE UP

Wake up and see the world’s pale shadows,
Man has made a mess of the water and meadows.

The air we breathe can be thick and dirty,
The noise pollutes every community.

Is it worse than when I was a child?
Of course, my generation went completely wild.

Can it be fixed, the noise, dirt and grime?
Of course, it will take commitment and time.

We must appreciate what’s given by God in heaven
And take our dominion as a serious tool to leaven.

Until the Father comes again, the job is ours,
To take care of His children, His planet, His flowers.

I pray our children will learn by our mistakes,
To look at the cost of wanting what comes next.
