A Patient Prayer

A Patient Prayer

Say a prayer;
With Your Jesus
You can Share.

Lift it high;
His loving grace
He will apply.

Whisper praises;
He will hear,
From your heart to His ear.

Listen and wait,
His answer will come,
To gain the ultimate fate.

Don’t pray with haste,
But pray with Patience;
His will you must embrace!

Rejoice always
In what He gives and says
More joy His will displays.

My Liberty in Christ

My Liberty in Christ

Where the Spirit of the Lord [is],
there [is] liberty.
(2Corinthians 3:17)

My Liberty Shines out bright,
It is His heavenly light.

It Is in Him I gain,
The liberty of freeman.

A freedom beyond compare,
A Freedom so very rare.

God offered it to me,
This glorious chance to be free.

His fulfillment is here and now,
As His sovereign Grace will allow.

But all that joy will not compare,
To the freedom offered there.

In the kingdom He prepared,
For His chosen as He cared!

The Value of a Strong man

The Value of a Strong man

If the Strength of a man is measured in what he can accomplish.

Then the Value of a man is measured in what he has accomplished!

If the strength of a man is measured in what he can do.

Then the value of a man is measured in what he has done!

If the Strength of a man is measure in who he impresses.

Then the value of a man is measure by how he impresses!

If the Strength of a man is measured by where he lives.

Then the value of a man is measure by how he lives!

If the Strength of a man is measured in what he dose to others.

Then the value of a man is measured by what he dose for others!

Shouldn’t we then strive not simply to be strong?
Shouldn’t we then strive not simply to be valuable?
Shouldn’t we strive to be” strong valuable”
Christian men of whom our creator can say,
This is my son of whom I am most proud!

Praise God
The Start of Another Day

When I first awake,
Life is on an edge,
Do I want to partake?

I’m not real sure,
What do I want,
Whatever, it must be true.

I roll over,
The bones creak loudly,
On my feet to deliver.

The moans from morning pain
Call attention to me.
Of my love for gain!

I sit and rub my sleepy eyes,
Reach for glasses next to the bed,
Emit a few simple sighs.

I stand and walk,
More creaks and moans,
Still unable to utter talk.

A few creaks from the floor,
The rest of the noise from me,
With eyes half open a mirror I see.

A routine brush of my teeth,
Habitual splash of water on my face,
For sure past my sixtieth!

With Courage of a warrior,
I look slowly at the mirror,
And it looks slowly at me.

A faint smile from one of us,
The mirror doesn’t break,
I hear no fuss!

Another walk, more creak,
A few less moans,
We will make the week.

A cup of fresh hot coffee,
Ahaaaaa!
And I know I am here for another day!

A kiss from Mom,
And all is OK,
With the world for another day!

Lest we forget who we are,
We need to look forward,
Not back!

My Wife

MY WIFE

A GEM OF SUCH GREAT BEAUTY
WITH A VALUE UNDEFINED

SHE LOVED ME AS A YOUNG GIRL
AND LOVES ME AS A WOMAN

A GEM OF SUCH GREAT BEAUTY
WITH A VALUE UNDEFINED

SHE SUFFERED THROUGH THE HARDSHIPS
AND SUPPORTED DURING LIFE’S STRUGGLES

A GEM OF SUCH GREAT BEAUTY
WITH A VALUE UNDEFINED

SHE’S AS STRONG AS A LIONESS WHEN NEEDED
AND AS GENTLE AS A DOVE WHEN REQUIRED

A GEM OF SUCH GREAT BEAUTY
WITH A VALUE UNDEFINED

SHE LOVED ME FOR MY STRENGTHS
AND SUPPORTED ME DURING MY WEAKNESS

A GEM OF SUCH GREAT BEAUTY
WITH A VALUE UNDEFINED

SHE RECOGNISED MY TALENTS
AND HELPED REPAIR UP MY FAULTS

ALL THIS SHE DID WITH A SMILE OF JOY,
AND LOVE SO DEEP, AND TRUE
SHE HAD TO BE A GIFT FROM GOD
NO OTHER THOUGHT WILL DO!

THIS WONDERFUL GLORIOUS WIFE OF MINE,
A GEM OF SUCH GREAT BEAUTY
WITH A VALUE UNDEFINED

Listen my children

Listen my children

Listen my children, listen good,
Be diligent in your study
Of the Heavenly Father’s Word.

Be patient on life’s road,
Walk the narrow path he leads,
And wait upon the Lord.

In His time He will show you,
All he will have you know,
What He would have you do.

Be true and listen for His word,
Have ears that are in tune,
His word will not ever be ignored.

Live your life without burden or guilt,
His Son assures your rent
Become a part of what Jesus has built.

One thing to help Gods glory reach,
Look constant at one’s self and
Practice always what we preach,

We must imitate what Jesus did,
And be a faithful friend
To Know His love with faith,

JESUS
WHAT A LOVELY NAME

There is no name that brings such joy.
It brightens the day when spoken.
He was a gift to all of us,
The unworthy, misguided and misspoken.

He forgives our sins with pure love.
We must only speak His name,
Admit our sinful nature,
Believe His power with faith,
Accept Him as our Savior.

Jesus, a name so sweet to say.
He hears us when we call.
Jesus, Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Will keep us from the fall.

Jesus is the sweetest name I know,
His name always a pleasure to say.
It’s by His will I grow.
It’s He who gives each day.

I love to think of Jesus.
His name implies so much!
You know He always listens
With love and grace and trust.

Jesus the Child, the Boy, the Man,
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
No brighter light ever was.
We will gaze on His smiling face.

WAKE UP

Wake up and see the world’s pale shadows,
Man has made a mess of the water and meadows.

The air we breathe can be thick and dirty,
The noise pollutes every community.

Is it worse than when I was a child?
Of course, my generation went completely wild.

Can it be fixed, the noise, dirt and grime?
Of course, it will take commitment and time.

We must appreciate what’s given by God in heaven
And take our dominion as a serious tool to leaven.

Until the Father comes again, the job is ours,
To take care of His children, His planet, His flowers.

I pray our children will learn by our mistakes,
To look at the cost of wanting what comes next.

AN OLD MAN’S VISION

It is not easy being old,
Life seams to forget you’re there,
Children have lives of their own,
And have no time for share,

It’s no problem being lonely,
It’s no problem being old,
Life continues onward only,
Till God calls you home to hold,

It would be really fine,
If grandchildren were close,
And children had more time,
All with an extra love dose.

But aren’t we glad God assigned
Everything its season,
And this time is yours.

Be confident in your life,
God has you in His arms,
He knows your every strife,
And protects from earthly harms,

As a child of His,
You will a glory have,
So worry not of sons and daughters
For they are also His.

Don’t Live in Dreams

Abide not in the realm of dreams,
Do not follow any man’s schemes.
Look constantly toward God’s great goal,
Be confident about the position of your soul.

Think not in sleep to fold your hands,
Forgetful of the Lord’s commands;
From duty’s claim no life is free,
Behold, today there’s need for thee.

Abide not in the realm of dreams,
However fair the dream life seems;
But with clear eyes the present scan,
And hear the call of God, not man.

The present hour allots a task,
For knowledge, strength and patience ask.
And trust God’s love, a sure supply
Meets all these needs we can rely.

Abide not in the realm of dreams,
Head not the voices of man’s schemes,
Have fellowship with a Christian brother,
Talk constantly with the Heavenly Father.
